Coastal Carolina Athletics is bringing a new tradition to Downtown Conway this fall with a weekly pep rally throughout the 2026 football season. 

The pep rally will take place outside Chanti's Pizza from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and is free and open to the public. To accommodate the event, portions of Laurel Street from Second Avenue to the fountain, Peanut Road and the driveway to the Horry County parking lot may be closed to vehicle traffic. Those interested in watching The Ryan Beard Show live from its new outdoor stage are encouraged to bring folding chairs.

The weekly celebration will feature appearances from the Coastal Carolina pep band, cheer and dance teams, bringing the energy and atmosphere of game day to downtown Conway.

As part of the pep rally, The Ryan Beard Show will air live from 6:30-7:30p.m. Joe Catenacci will sit down with Beard to discuss the Chanticleers' season and program, while two Coastal Carolina football student-athletes will join Beard each week throughout the season, along with other coaches and special guests. The two football student-athletes, as well as student-athletes from other Coastal Carolina teams, will be available to sign autographs from 6:00-6:30 p.m.

For those unable to attend in person, The Ryan Beard Show can be heard live on WRXZ, Rock 107.1 in Myrtle Beach, the flagship station of the Chanticleer Sports Network.

Food and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase on site throughout the evening, along with a variety of local vendors.
