Groovin' on the Green featuring King Tide

Conway Downtown Alive presents Groovin’ on the Green, a Friday night concert series, on May 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 in partnership with CCNB-Coastal Carolina National Bank. Groovin’ on the Green is held at the Town Green at 200 Laurel Street from 7:30-9:00 PM each Friday in May.
This event features a different musical group nightly with the tunes beginning at 7:30 PM each Friday. Attendees are invited to bring a blanket or chair to enjoy the concert. In addition to a variety of music, Chicora Car Club will host a classic car cruise-in each night. Groovin’ on the Green is a free event.

Cruise-In Guidelines and Rules
The Groovin’ on the Green Cruise-In is hosted by Chicora Car Club. The 2025 Groovin’ on the Green Cruise-In requires advance registration and space is limited. Please review the registration Guidelines and Rules below before registering and agreeing to all conditions. You must register for each of the 5 Cruise-In event dates separately. 2025 Groovin’ on the Green Cruise-In Guidelines and Rules
Registration
- All Cruise-In spaces will be located on Laurel Street between Elm Street and Third Avenue.
- Cruise-In space is limited.
- Advance registration is required for the Cruise-In. No on-site registration.
- Only pre-registered vehicles will be permitted to enter the Cruise-In Zone.
- Non-registered vehicles arriving at the event will be turned away.
Event Day Check-In
- Check-in and entry into the Cruise-in Zone is at 1100 Second Avenue.
- Vehicles may not arrive before 4:30 PM. Roadways must remain clear and open to all traffic until 4:30 PM check-in.
- Participating vehicles must check-in by 6:30 PM. No entry after 6:30 PM.
- Day of event parking will be filled as vehicles arrive at the direction of the parking staff.
- No saving or reserving of a space is permitted. If your group wishes to park together you must arrive and check in as a group.
- Attendees will check in under the last name of the Cruise-in Registration.
- Parking volunteers must present their credentials to be admitted to the parking area before the 4:30 check-in time.
Event Day Departure
- No departure before 9 PM is permitted.
- Emergency departures will be facilitated by the Conway Police Department.
- Exit from the Cruise-in Zone via Laurel Street to Elm Street and Laurel Street to Third Avenue ONLY.
General Rules and Guidelines
- Tampering with the Conway Police barricades will result in immediate removal from the event and all subsequent events.
- Failure to comply with the Guidelines and Rules will result in the registrant’s removal from the event and all future events.
- Failure to comply with the instructions of the parking staff will in the registrant’s immediate removal from the event and all future events.
- Bumping, nudging or purposefully hitting a volunteer or police officer with a vehicle will be considered assault and charges will be immediately filed.
