Program and Event Coordinator

Conway Downtown Alive is currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Program and Event Coordinator to support the programs of Conway Downtown Alive. This is a full-time year-round position with general working hours Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM plus evening and weekend events. Starting salary is mid-forties with PTO and paid holidays. No insurance benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the Conway Visitor Center and volunteer Ambassadors
- Manage Partnership and Friends Programs
- Serve as first point of contact for incoming calls, visitors and organization emails
- Manage organization event ticket interface
- Order and maintain all organization and event supplies
- Ensure a clean and polished facility and office area
- Staff and execute all Conway Downtown Alive events and promotions.
- Attend Promotions Committee Meetings
- Schedule and recruit volunteers for all events and promotions.
- Event vendor and participant recruitment and management
- Prepare event permits
- Prepare event layout, schedules and traffic patterns.
- Interface with City of Conway to secure event set-up, breakdown and supplies.
Qualifications:
- Computer proficiency, including CRM tools and Microsoft Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and event management skills and the ability to multitask efficiently
Additional Information:
- This role requires flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic office setting
- Role requires the physical ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift 50 lbs.
- Position is engaged in outdoor and indoor activities.
- New hires undergo a 30-day probationary period
